What is Hot Rolled Flat Steel?
Hot rolled flat steel is a flat-shaped steel product made via hot rolling. Its production involves heating steel billets to 1100-1250℃ (above steel's recrystallization temperature) to enhance malleability, then rolling the billets into flat sheets through multi-pass rolling (rough, intermediate, finish rolling). Unlike cold rolled flat steel (processed at room temperature), it has a matte surface with slight oxide scale and covers a thicker gauge range (1.2-20mm), balancing production efficiency and cost.
