Product Introduction
Galvanised carbon steel pipe is a high-performance pipe material processed through the hot-dip galvanizing process. It is made from high-quality low-carbon steel or medium-carbon steel, and undergoes multiple precise procedures such as acid washing, cleaning, auxiliary plating, and high-temperature zinc immersion, resulting in a uniform and dense zinc layer on the pipe surface.
This product combines the high strength of carbon steel with the corrosion resistance of the galvanized layer, and is widely used in water supply and drainage projects, fire protection systems, oil and gas transportation, building supports, agricultural irrigation, mechanical manufacturing, and other fields. It is an ideal pipe material choice for both industrial and civilian scenarios, offering both reliability and economic benefits.

production line for galvanised steel pipe
Material Procurement and Inspection: Purchase high-quality Q235B and Q355B national standard carbon steel plates. Verify material certificates and conduct appearance, dimension, and laboratory tests before storage to eliminate non-conforming products;
Pipe Forming and Welding: Process the steel plate into a tubular shape via automated equipment. After high-frequency resistance welding, polish the weld seams to ensure no welding defects and a smooth surface;
Post-weld Treatment: Thoroughly acid-wash the pipe to remove oxide scale and oil stains, then rinse with clean water and neutralize to prevent base material corrosion by residual acid;
Hot-dip Galvanizing: Immerse the pipe in 450-460℃ zinc solution to form an Fe-Zn alloy layer and pure zinc layer. Centrifugally remove excess zinc solution for uniform coating;
Cooling, Passivation and Cutting: After cooling to room temperature, perform passivation treatment to form a passivation film (enhancing corrosion resistance and preventing galvanized layer oxidation), then cut to order length and polish edges to remove burrs.
Finished Product Inspection: Conduct appearance, dimension, mechanical property and galvanized coating inspections. Label and store the products only after qualification.

Specific process of inspection and testing
Material In-Storage Inspection
Verify the material certificate and test report, inspect the appearance and dimensions, take samples for testing, and eliminate non-conforming products.
Welding Process Inspection
Monitor the weld quality, visually check for defects, and confirm that the weld is smooth and meets the standards.
Post-Weld Treatment Inspection
Check the acid washing and neutralization effects, ensure that there are no residual impurities or corrosion marks on the surface.
Galvanizing Layer Inspection
Test the thickness of the galvanizing layer (85-120μm, in accordance with GB/T 3091), conduct grid verification for adhesion, and visually inspect the uniformity and absence of defects of the coating.
Comprehensive Inspection of Finished Products
Verify the size and cuttings of the finished products, take samples for mechanical property testing, and conduct salt spray tests for key batches.
Final Factory Inspection

FAQs
Q:What is galvanised carbon steel pipe?
Steel pipe coated with zinc for better corrosion resistance and longer service life.
Q:What standards do you follow?
Our pipes meet ASTM A53, BS 1387, EN and other international standards.
Q:What are the main uses?
Widely used for water, gas, fire fighting, fencing, scaffolding and structural projects.
Q:What is the difference between galvanised pipe and black steel pipe?
Galvanised pipe has a zinc coating for corrosion protection and longer service life,while black steel pipe is uncoated and mainly used for industrial applications where corrosion resistance is not the priority.
